Athletes can vote from June 1-26 for five new positions
Five new athlete representative positions are up for election on the Canadian Paralympic Athletes’ Council, with voting commencing on June 1.
The nominated athletes for election are:
SUMMER:
Amy Burk, goalball
Nathan Clement, Para cycling
Priscilla Gagne, Para judo
Anthony Vibol Hay, Para badminton
Brianna Hennessy, Para canoe
Peter Isherwood, Para table tennis
Rio Kanda Kovac, wheelchair rugby
Melanie Labelle, wheelchair rugby
Alison Levine, boccia
Marissa Papaconstantinou, Para athletics
Abi Tripp, Para swimming
WINTER:
Collinda Joseph, wheelchair curling
The five open positions are for four summer athletes and one winter athlete. Athletes who have competed in any of the last four Paralympic Games (Milano Cortina 2026, Paris 2024, Beijing 2022, or Tokyo 2020) are eligible to vote.
As the only winter candidate, Joseph will be elected by acclamation.
The Canadian Paralympic Athletes’ Council is an elected group of current and retired Paralympic athletes who advocate for the best interests of Canada’s Paralympians and the Paralympic Movement in Canada.
Eligible athletes will be sent voting details directly via email and can vote between June 1-26 to help decide who their representatives on the council will be for the next term.
