RESULTS SUMMARY

Para Nordic Skiing – Para Cross Country
Brittany Hudak claimed bronze in the women’s standing 10km race for her fourth career Paralympic medal (all bronze). The four-time Paralympian has now reached the podium at three consecutive Games.

“It feels great. I knew the fitness was there. I knew I was skiing well. It was just managing to put everything together on the same day,” said Hudak. “Today I saw the conditions and knew it was going to be a grind. I know I sometimes thrive in that. It’s the same conditions for everybody but I did think the slush added an extra element for those of us skiing with one pole.

“I honestly tried to ski as hard as I could right from the start which isn’t always what I do. Sometimes I’m a little bit of a diesel and start too slow. I’m really happy to put together a solid race.”

Brittany Hudak wins Bronze in the 10KM Cross-Country Ski at the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games in Val di Fiemme on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

In the same race, Emma Archibald was sixth in her second career Paralympic race.

In the men’s standing 10km, Mark Arendz won his second medal of the Games, adding a bronze to his earlier Para biathlon silver. Competing in his fifth Paralympic Winter Games, he now holds 14 Paralympic podiums.

“It feels great. That was just taking a lot of experience from the endurance races of the biathlon, yesterday’s sprint, there was a lot of confidence in just being able to move quickly, get the classic legs under me,” said Arendz. “I woke up this morning knowing I could bring those two together and this could be a good chance for me. When I got here the conditions were soft, and I thought this could favour me.”

Other Canadian results included Collin Cameron fifth, Derek Zaplotinsky seventh, and Leo Sammarelli 26th in the men’s sitting 10km, Maddie Mullin and guide Brooke Ailey finishing sixth in the women’s visually impaired 10km, Christina Picton 12th and Lyne-Marie Bilodeau 17th in the women’s sitting 10km, and Jesse Bachinsky and guide Levi Nadlersmith 11th and Logan Lariviere and guide Joe Hutton 12thin the men’s visually impaired 10km.

Wheelchair Curling
Canada defeated Slovakia 9-6 to stay undefeated and atop the standings in wheelchair curling preliminary play. The team, holding a 7-0 record, has two games remaining before the semifinals.

Against Slovakia, Canada led 6-0 after two ends but went scoreless for the next four ends as Slovakia tied it up. Skip Mark Ideson and his team maintained their composure though to claim the win with two strong final ends.

“You still have to figure out how to win in every game you’re playing,” said Ina Forrest on playing round-robin games after already securing their semifinal spot. “At this point, we don’t want to have a loss at any point, so we’re still playing to win.”
