CPC and PFC release 2025-26 Annual Impact Report

Record-breaking audiences for the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. Strong performances from Canada’s young athletes at the Chile 2025 Youth Parapan American Games. New heights in ParaTough Cup fundraising.  

All of these major milestones and initiatives achieved through the year – and so much more – are highlighted in the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) and Paralympic Foundation of Canada’s (PFC) 2025-26 Annual Impact Report, now available.  

“We are so proud to be sharing the 2025-26 Annual Impact Report, which details an incredible year with many accomplishments we’ve worked years towards as well as progress in other important strategic areas,” said Karen O’Neill, CEO, Canadian Paralympic Committee. “With our priority on impact, the report delves deep into all the ways our work is creating change, including generating more investment for Para sport, providing support for athletes, increasing Para sport fandom across the country, and reducing barriers for more individuals to access sport.  

“This is important work we are continuing with the entire Paralympic community in Canada.”  

The report details all of the preparation, work, and resulting successes that went into the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games both on and off the field of play, including the 15 medals won, growth in fans and followers, Fill TheStands fundraiser, and Where It Begins campaign.  

Now called an Annual Impact Report, it also focuses on how CPC, PFC, and our supporters and partners are making significant impacts towards a stronger Paralympic sport system and creating a stronger, more accessible and inclusive society. This reflects CPC’s mission to both deliver best prepared teams at the Paralympic and Parapan Am Games and enable more Canadians to experience the power of Para sport.  

The Paralympic Movement in Canada is filled with many individuals, organizations, and groups who make a difference every day to advance Para sport in Canada – from CPC, PFC, the national sport organizations (NSOs), partners, donors, and fans. This report celebrates the collaboration, leadership, and dedication of everyone involved.
