Call for nominations: 2019 Americas Paralympic Committee Athlete Representative Elections

The CPC Athletes Council is looking for potential candidates for the role of Athlete Representative on the Americas Paralympic Committee Executive Committee.

Americas Paralympic Committee Athlete Representative is the voice of the Paralympic athletes for the Americas Region, and is a member of the Americas Paralympic Executive Committee. The term of office for the current athlete representative, Ileana Rodriguez, will come to an end during the upcoming Lima 2019 Parapan American Games. We take this opportunity to invite your NSOs to nominate a candidate for consideration.

All athletes that are competing at the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games or that have competed at the previous two editions (Toronto 2015 and Guadalajara 2011) are eligible to be nominated.

Furthermore, it is recommended that the candidate nominated by your NSO should
have the following skills:
– Fluent in Spanish;
– Be a Paralympian;
– Have strong leadership qualities, in addition to a broad knowledge of the Paralympic Movement;
– Willingness to help others get their job done;
– Have proven and demonstrated skills to be a positive and effective
communicator;
– Understand and represent the overall vision, mission, values of the CPC with
the vision of the Games;
– Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and engagement skills;
– Demonstrated exemplary conduct, manners and behaviours throughout its
career as an athlete;
– Ability to be outgoing and personable
