The 2020 Paralympic Games will take place in Tokyo, Japan from August 25 to September 6. The Games will feature 22 sports contested by 164 countries and regions. 4,237 Paralympians will compete for 1,522 medals.

The 22 sports include: archery, athletics, badminton, boccia, canoe, cycling, equestrian, football 5-a-side, goalball, judo, powerlifting, rowing, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, table tennis, taekwando, triathlon, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing, wheelchair rugby, wheelchair tennis.

Tokyo will become the first-ever city to host the Paralympic Games for a second time having first hosted the 1964 Paralympic Games.

This is the second time Tokyo will host the Paralympic Games.
