Classification

Jason Naval first got involved with the sport of volleyball in 2004. A few years later, in 2009, he was in a car accident that left him with a disability. This was not going to stop him from playing his sport. Two years later, he was competing on the international scale with Team Canada’s national sitting volleyball team.

Naval’s sitting volleyball career highlight has been competing at the European Continental Cup in England and the Parapan American Games in Mexico, both in 2011.

The most influential people in his volleyball career are his teammates. His vision for the Paralympic movement in Canada is having parasport gain a comparable status to the more mainstream sports and athletes in the country.

When he is not playing volleyball, he enjoys sailing and boxing.
