On March 7, Petro-Canada will match all Fill the Stands seat purchases up to a total of $20,000 – doubling Canadians’ support for the Canadian Paralympic team.
For more than two decades, Petro-Canada, a Suncor business, has stood alongside Canada’s Paralympic community. This latest commitment to the national Fill the Stands campaign reflects their long-standing dedication to helping Para athletes and their coaches compete at the highest level.
Turning support into action
Through Fill the Stands, Canadians can buy a virtual seat or VIP suite – starting at only $25 – to fill a digital arena with messages of encouragement. Every virtual seat directly funds athlete development, from specialized equipment and coaching to training environments that help athletes push their limits and pursue excellence.
Fuelling excellence by supporting those who wear the maple leaf
Petro-Canada’s support of Fill the Stands builds on more than 20 years of partnership with the Canadian Paralympic Committee, including its Fuelling Athlete and Coaching Excellence (FACE™) Program, which providesgrants annually to 55 athlete-coach pairs striving to represent Canada, but not yet eligible for government funding. These Canadian Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls receive $10,000 per pair to fund training, equipment, education and travel costs.
