[MEDAL ALERT] Mark Arendz takes silver in men’s 12.5 kilometre biathlon

Para nordic star now has a medal of each colour in Beijing

BEIJING – Four-time Paralympian Mark Arendz will return home with a least one medal of each colour from Beijing 2022 after taking the silver in the men’s standing 12.5-kilometre biathlon in Para nordic skiing action on Friday.
Benjamin Daviet of France was the only competitor to shoot clean and won the gold in 37 minutes and 58.9 seconds. 
Arendz, from Hartsville, PEI, brought his career Games medal total to 11 finishing 2:14.1 behind the Frenchman with one missed target out of 20. Grygorii Vovchynskyi of Ukraine was third more than four minutes behind the winner.
So far at the Games, Arendz has won gold in the 10 kilometre biathlon and bronze in the six kilometre biathlon.
