Fredericton will host Canada’s most exhilarating wheelchair basketball showcase at the Richard J. Currie Center from April 26-28. Don’t miss the action as the top club teams from across the country compete in two divisions at the 2024 CWBL National Championship.

Media and fans are invited to cheer on Canada’s most decorated wheelchair basketball athletes and witness the skills and athleticism that make wheelchair basketball one of the most popular adaptive sports in the world. The competition will begin the morning of Friday, April 26th, with an East Coast tip-off between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. The tournament will conclude with gold medal games on Sunday, April 28th.

The competing teams include former and current National Team athletes, including several athletes set to represent Team Canada at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris (August 28-Spetember 8).

The weekend will also include an Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet, which will recognize individual athletic achievement in the following categories: Female and Male Athletes of the Year, Junior Athlete of the Year, the True Sport Award, and the Leadership and Excellence Award. The night will conclude with the Hall of Fame inductions.

The event is governed by Wheelchair Basketball Canada (WBC) and presented by Parasport New Brunswick.

Gym 1 games will be live-streamed on the WBC YouTube channel. Sunday’s gold medal games will air on RogersTV Fredericton and can be streamed here.
