The Canadian Paralympic Committee is mourning the loss of Paralympian Maude Jacques, a longtime valued member of Canada’s women’s wheelchair basketball team.

Jacques competed for Canada at the London 2012 Paralympic Games as well as the 2014 and 2018 world championships, winning gold in 2014. She is also a three-time Parapan Am Games medallist - gold in 2019, and silver in 2011 and 2015.

Our deepest thoughts and condolences are with all of Jacques’ family and friends, as well as the entire wheelchair basketball community during this difficult time. She will be greatly missed by all in Canadian Paralympic sport.
