TIGNES, France – With the speed events now concluded on the Para alpine skiing World Cup circuit, Canadians Alexis Guimond and Mollie Jepsen are savoring Crystal Globe titles ranking first in their respective Super G standings
Both skiers also ranked second in their downhills while Michaela Gosselin took third overall in the women’s standing downhill.
In four Super G races this season, the 26-year-old from Gatineau, Que., posted three wins and a bronze medal.
‘’It’s incredible,’’ Guimond told Sportcom. ‘’For me, it’s a great accomplishment. I’ve been chasing the title for many years and I came close quite a few times.’’
Guimond also enjoyed a great World Cup downhill season. He posted his first career World Cup win in the event and stepped on the podium six times. He ranked second overall in the men’s standing downhill standings behind Robin Cuche of Switzerland.
‘’Quite content with the level of skiing I was able to bring consistently so far this season, in the speed events,’’ Guimond posted on his Instagram. ‘’That includes the past few days of racing downhill in Tignes. Two solid third place finishes.’’
‘’Very proud of my first career Globe.’’
Jepsen, from West Vancouver, notched her third career Crystal Globe but her first since the 2021-22 season and her second in the Super G. This season in the Super Gm she collected a win, two silver and a bronze.
She was also second overall in the downhill with two bronze and two silver. It’s been an incredible comeback so far for Jepsen, a six-time Paralympic medallist over the past two Games. She’s missed most of the past three seasons due to injuries.

Gosselin, from Collingwood, Ont., has been a model of consistency this season particularly in the downhill, with three top-five finishes.
