1. Attitude

Attitudes, assumptions and stereotypes impact how we treat others and impact our entire physical activity and sport system. All staff, Board members and volunteers are given opportunities to participate in diversity, inclusion and equity knowledge and skill development programs.

 

Question 1A.

The organization has taken the time to ask the questions: Who is here? Who is not here?

Question 1B.

The organization has made a diversity, inclusion and equity education program available to staff, board members, mission staff and volunteers during their orientation process when they first start in their respective role, and a refresher on an annual basis.

Question 1C.

Members of diverse communities are involved in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the diversity, inclusion and equity education program.

Question 1D.

All staff, board members, mission staff and volunteers have taken training on: Indigenous cultural competence, Newcomers, Women & Girl, LGBTQ2S, Persons with Disabilities, Unconscious Bias, Harassment

Question 1E.

Staff, board members, mission staff, volunteers, athletes and coaches are comfortable in identifying and challenging stereotypical comments, assumptions, and language in both formal meetings and informal discussions.

Question 1F.

In the event of any incident, procedures are in place for training and disciplinary actions.
