Experience

Toronto 2015

Vito Proietti was 15 years old when he made his debut in the Canadian para-soccer program in 2009 with coach Drew Ferguson.  A member of the Canadian team for the last six years, Proietti was playing on a regular team before moving on to the national squad. He was noticed by the national team’s coach at a tournament in Laval.

He has represented Canada at the last three world championships including the most recent in June 2015 in London in which Canada placed 10th.

A sports enthusiast at heart, Proietti turned to soccer rather than other team sports, in large part because of his Italian roots. Both his father and grandfather were soccer enthusiasts.
