Beijing 2008
Meghan Montgomery competed in the Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016 Paralympic Games in the Leg/Trunk/Arms mixed coxed four (LTAMix4+) crew. In Rio, she helped Canada to the bronze, its first Games medal in Para rowing. She also won a world title in the same event at the 2010 World Rowing Championships. Overall she holds four world championship medals, won between 2006 and 2011.
Montgomery retired from competitive sport following the London 2012 Paralympic Games. She taught mathematics and coached rowing at Shawinigan Lake School, on Vancouver Island. Montgomery returned to competition in 2015 and has worked her way back in to the crew that qualified for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games by winning bronze at the 2015 world championships.

She is on the Canadian Paralympic Committee’s athlete council… Montgomery holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba… Her disability is a congenital one, affecting her right hand.
