Katie Combaluzier is making an impact in her first season in international Para alpine skiing, and she hopes it will lead her to the podium at the Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing.
At the 2021 World Para Snow Sports Championships held in January 2022 in Lillehammer, Combaluzier earned silver medals in the women’s sitting super combined and giant slalom as well as a bronze in the downhill.
In addition, she collected two medals in her inaugural season on the World Cup circuit.
The Toronto native fractured her spine in 2018 when she was swept down the mountain by an avalanche while skiing in France.
