Daniel Chalifour, who started tandem racing in 2006, has maintained himself among the best tandem cyclists in the world for the past several years.

At the 2015 Parapan American Games in Toronto, Chalifour and pilot Alexandre Cloutier won gold on the track in the individual pursuit and the kilo race. On the road, they triumphed in the time trial and took silver in the road race.

At the 2011 Parapan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, Chalifour and pilot Ed Veal posted a victory in the 4,000-metre individual pursuit, silver in the 1km individual time trial, and bronze in both the mixed time trial and the road race.

Chalifour was a member of the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Paralympic Games. He is a four-time world championship medallist.
