Cuauhtemoc Flores was 18 years old when he made his debut in Canada Soccer’s Para Soccer National Team Program in 2016 with coach Drew Ferguson. He represented Canada at the 2017 IFCPF World Championships in Argentina and at the Copa América IFCPF 2018 Ecuador.

At age 12, he was diagnosed with brain cancer (medulloblastoma), leaving him fighting for his life. After a year-long battle at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), he was deemed cancer-free cancer but left him with a physical disability.
