At age 14, Colleen Cloetta was the youngest member of the Canadian Parapan Am Team in 2019 and captured one bronze medal as part of the women’s 4x100m medley relay team in swimming.
She has since started competing on the international level in Para badminton. She competed at the Brazil and Canadian Open tournaments in 2023 in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles with Justin Kendrick.
Cloetta started swimming at age four and joined her first competitive team at 10. She has been a member of the Pointe-Claire Swim Club her entire career. She is one of six siblings, all of whom are involved in sport. She says her older brother Connor is her biggest influence because he introduced her to sports.
