Christian Daniel returned to Team Canada for the first time in three years in 2014 and capped his season with a bronze medal in the 400-m freestyle in the S6 category at the Pan Pacific Para-swimming Championships. He earned a berth on the team at the qualifying event in March 2014 by breaking the Canadian record in the event.

Daniel didn’t show any signs of slowing down in 2015, qualifying to compete at the Toronto Parapan Am Games. At the Speedo Can Am Para-swimming Championships he placed third in the 100-m and 400-m freestyle.

In 2013, Daniel represented Alberta at the Canada Games in Sherbrooke, Que. He competed in five events and his top result was fifth in the 400-m freestyle.

Daniel was a member of the 2011 Para Pan American Games team. At those Games in Guadalajara, Daniel competed in six events with his best results sixth place finishes in the 100-m free and 400-m freestyle in the S6 category.

Daniel is a self-employed web designer and hopes to pursue a professional career in computer science…Studies at University of Calgary… Brother Stefan Daniel is a para –triathlete and won silver at the 2014 world championships. … Both his parents are triathletes – his father Chris Sr., has competed in the Hawaii Ironman and his mother in the Boston Marathon.
