Recruited by current Boccia Canada head coach Mario Delisle, BC3 player Bruno Garneau is a veteran of the sport. After a very successful year in 2010, he made the National Team for the first time. Garneau won the gold medal in mixed pairs at the 2015 Parapan American Games in Toronto with Paul Gauthier and Éric Bussière.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

One of Garneau’s greatest sporting achievements was in 2013, when he won two gold medals in BC3 pairs alongside teammates Paul Gauthier and Éric Bussière at the Americas Cup. Of the sport, Garneau says “boccia allows me to feel the thrill of competition at the highest level, pushing me to consistently attain new heights.”

PERSONAL

In addition to his sporting endeavours, Garneau is a talented artist; the subjects of his paintings range from nature to architecture. Garneau is also proud of his independence, having lived on his own from the age of 23.
