Braedon Dolfo developed cataracts and chronic uveitis at age five. He began competing in track and field at age 11, at the suggestion of a doctor at a children’s hospital after he developed glaucoma. Dolfo took quickly to athletics events, crediting natural athletic ability and determination.

Dolfo represented Canada at the Guadalajara 2011 Parapan American Games in Mexico, where he won a bronze medal in the T13 100m. A year later he was at the London Paralympics where he raced in three events.
