Barry Henderson has three ITF titles to his name and is a three-time Birmingham Nationals doubles champion.  As of October 2023, he is ranked No. 86 in the world in men’s wheelchair tennis singles and earlier in the year reached a career high No. 82. He has a 13-10 record in 2023 as of October 2023

Henderson played tennis recreationally as a youth and began coaching in university. After he lost his leg, he was introduced to wheelchair tennis.

In 2019, he received a Tennis Canada Excellence Award as the country’s most improved wheelchair tennis player. That season he was third in men’s singles and claimed a doubles title at the 2019 Birmingham National Wheelchair Tennis Championships in Montreal.

He also had the opportunity to represent Canada at the 2019 BNP Paribas World Team Cup Americas Qualifier where he finished third alongside Team BC teammate and doubles partner Thomas Venos.
