As of October 2023, Alisson Gobeil holds Canadian records in the S5 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 50m backstroke and 200m individual medley.

At the 2022 Speedo Canadian Junior and Senior Swimming Championships, Gobeil broke a 20-year-old Canadian record in the 50m freestyle. She improved on the record a year later at the Canadian Swimming Trials.

At the 2022 Canada Games she marched the podium four times and set a Canadian record. She was recognized as Natation-Quebec’s athlete of the month for those performances.

She was diagnosed at age five with recessive spastic ataxia, a neuromuscular disease that affects the spinal cord and the nerves responsible for movements, balance, and coordination of the body.
