Multiple Sports – Ontario
This project will increase Para sport participation in the Greater Toronto Area through a multi-sport Try It Day featuring several Paralympic sports. By connecting participants with coaches, classifiers, and sport organizations, the initiative will support athlete identification, transition into ongoing programs, and long-term development pathways from recreational to high-performance participation.
BC Wheelchair Basketball Society
Wheelchair Basketball – British Columbia
BC Wheelchair Basketball Society will expand its Let’s Play program by integrating Paralympic Sport Discovery Day sessions into Junior League tournaments across British Columbia. The initiative introduces children with physical disabilities and their families to wheelchair basketball, promoting physical literacy, confidence, and connections to coaches, mentors, and long-term Para sport pathways.
Saskatchewan Wheelchair Sports Association
Multiple Sports – Saskatchewan
The Saskatchewan Para Sport Summit will support athlete recruitment and development by connecting individuals with physical disabilities to Para sport opportunities, coaches, and support services. Through sport demonstrations, education, and pathway information, the two-day event will strengthen participation, athlete identification, and long-term engagement across Saskatchewan’s para sport system.
Sport Nova Scotia
Multiple Sports – Nova Scotia
Sport Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic and Provincial Sport Organizations, will deliver a Paralympic Sport Discovery Day to introduce individuals with physical disabilities to multiple Para sports. The initiative will support athlete identification, provide pathway information, and connect participants with clubs and programs to encourage long-term engagement and development.
Triathlon BC
Para Triathlon – British Columbia
Triathlon BC’s initiative introduces athletes with disabilities to Para triathlon through clinics, education, adaptive equipment exposure, and coach-led skill development. In partnership with Triathlon Canada and provincial stakeholders, the project focuses on talent identification, participant retention, and long-term athlete progression from introductory experiences to provincial and national performance pathways.
Handcycling Club of Canada
Para Cycling – Ontario
HCC and Ontario Cycling will deliver Para cycling Discovery Days to identify and recruit athletes with physical impairments through adaptive cycling experiences. The initiative combines outreach, equipment support, skill development, and pathway education to connect participants with ongoing programs and strengthen athlete progression from introduction to competition and high-performance opportunities.
