Myriam Soliman was Canada’s busiest swimmer at the 2019 Parapan American Games in Lima, competing in seven events. She reached the final in each one and took a bronze in the women’s S6 100m backstroke. She also placed fourth three times.

More recently, at the Madeira 2022 World Para Swimming Championships, Soliman placed seventh in the 50-m freestyle S7 and eighth in the 50-m butterfly S7.

She started swimming at age eight as part of her rehabilitation program after her injury. She was named the top swimmer at the 2012 provincial championships and competed at the 2016 Paralympic Games Trials. A year later she swam for Team Quebec at the Canada Games.
