Lois Martin started playing boccia in 2011 through Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador and she was hooked from the start.
Although she had some international appearances, her first national team assignment was at the 2022 world championships. She ended the year ranked 12th in the world in the women’s BC1.
In 2017, in her first international appearance, she won a gold medal with the BC1 & BC2 team at the BISFed Montréal Regional Open Championships.
