Shotput and discus specialist Laura Calovini was one of three recipients of the Kabush Para Athlete Fund for 2023 from the Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sports Association.
Calovini was a member of Team Ontario’s wheelchair basketball team at the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown. A year earlier she competed in the throwing events at the 2022 Canada Games in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ont.
