Ilana Dupont was a bronze medallist in the 100-m at the 2008 Paralympic Games and 2013 IPC World Championships. She posted top-eight performances at the 2016 Games and 2017 worlds.
In 2015, Dupont collected two medals at the Parapan American Games in Toronto with silver in the 100m and bronze in the 800m. A few weeks later she raced in four events at the IPC World Championships and reached three finals.
In 2019, she raced in two events at her fourth IPC World Championships reaching the final in the T53 100m and placing eighth.
She took a break from the sport after winning a bronze medal at the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. However, she was inspired to begin racing again after watching her husband Alexandre compete at the 2012 Games in London.
