David Bambrick re-emerged on the international scene for Canada in 2023 as he made his world championships debut in Paris.
He enjoyed a great season in 2022 with gold in the shotput at the national championships and that same year threw a personal best 12.69 metres at a meet in Nova Scotia.
At the 2019 Parapan American Games, Bambrick was fourth in the discus and sixth in the shotput
He made his international debut in 2018 at the Commonwealth Games. He was one of nine Canadian Para athletes at the integrated Games and placed sixth in the shotput finishing ahead of Canadian Para record holder Kevin Strybosch.
