In 2023, Brendan Cote-Williamson won the gold medal in the men’s Para-ambulatory 200m and 400m at the Bell Canadian Track and Field Championships in Langley, B.C. Later that summer he added a gold and three bronze medals at the 2023 North American Indigenous Games in Halifax, N.S.

He changed from soccer to Para athletics in 2019. In 2022, Cote-Williamson competed in his first Para meet at a Grand Prix in Dubai. He ran both the 100m and 400m in the T47 classification.
