Bayleigh Hooper placed fourth with the four with coxswain adaptive trunk and arms (pr3mix4+) at the 2018 World Championships. Along with Kyle Fredrikson, Andrew Todd, Victoria Nolan, Bayleigh Hooper and coxswain Laura Court the mixed crew won the event at the last chance qualifying event in June 2021 to earn a Games’ berth.
Hooper began rowing in 2017 with Trent University’s novice program. She joined the Peterborough Rowing Club and learned the sport from coaches Richard Love and Dylan Wing. She was recruited for Rowing Canada’s NextGen adaptive rowing program by national team coach and Peterborough resident Carol Love.
