One of the tallest and widest players on the Canadian Para ice hockey team, two-way forward Anton Jacobs-Webb scored the winning goal in Canada’s 2-1 victory of the U.S. for its first gold medal in seven years at the 2024 World Championships.
Jacobs-Webb provided an exceptional performance at those worlds both offensively and defensively. He earned five points in five games.
The fluently bilingual Jacobs-Webb competed at his first World Para Ice Hockey Championships in 2021 which were held in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He helped Canada to silver at those worlds as well as the ones in 2023 and 2025 and at the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games.
He began playing Para ice hockey at age 11. He got involved in the sport after meeting Canadian Para ice hockey player Herve Lord, who gave him a number of signed photos from the national team.
Growing up in Williamswood, Nova Scotia he played street hockey with his friends and neighbours and when winter came, they’d move their games to the local frozen pond.
