The Paralympic Foundation of Canada (PFC) is proud to partner with Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC) for the #IgniteTheLight virtual stadium seat fundraising campaign.

A groundbreaking initiative, IGNITE the Light calls on Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast to show their support and encouragement for the nation’s Paralympic athletes by purchasing virtual stadium seats for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games beginning August 28.  Beyond Paris, IGNITE the Light virtual stadium seat purchases will help contribute life-changing opportunities for Canadians with a disability to experience and benefit from the transformative power of sport.

With the shared goal of helping the PFC raise $1 million to support the Canadian Paralympic Team and the development of future Canadian Paralympians, CTC has purchased 600 silver-level seats within the virtual stadium, and PFC is looking for other corporations and individual Canadians to follow their lead.

“As a long-time supporter of the Canadian Paralympic Committee, we are proud to team up with the Paralympic Foundation of Canada to cheer on our athletes through the IGNITE the Light campaign,” said Ashley Curran, AVP, Sport Partnerships, Canadian Tire Corporation. “We look forward to joining Canadians across the country to rally in support of our Paralympians during the 2024 Summer Games and beyond.”

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will begin with the Opening Ceremony on August 28 and continue through September 8. Audiences can tune in for CBC/Radio-Canada’s coverage of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games from August 28 to September 8 on CBC, CBC Gem, CBC’s Paris 2024 website (cbc.ca/paris2024) and the CBC Paris 2024 app in English and on ICI TÉLÉ, ICI TOU.TV, Radio-Canada.ca/paris2024, and on the Radio-Canada Paralympiques app in French.
