Milano Cortina 2026 Day 6 Preview: Wheelchair curling team wraps up round-robin tournament 

Canada has already secured a semifinal spot in wheelchair curling and Florence Carrier, Michaela Gosselin to race in Para alpine skiing giant slalom

Cortina, Italy, March 11, 2026 – Two sports are in action at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games on Thursday, with competition set in Para alpine skiing and wheelchair curling. Below is a run-down of Day 6 action for the Milano Cortina 2026 Canadian Paralympic Team on Thursday March 12:   

Para Alpine Skiing  
Michaela Gosselin and Florence Carrier will race in the women’s standing giant slalom, with the first runs starting at 9 a.m. local time / 4 a.m. ET followed by their second runs beginning at 12:30 p.m. local time / 7:30 a.m. ET.  

For 18-year-old Carrier – the youngest member of the Canadian Paralympic Team – it will be her Paralympic debut.  

The men will race the giant slalom on Friday.  

Wheelchair Curling 
Canada will wrap up the wheelchair curling round-robin tournament Thursday. With a 7-0 record, Mark Ideson, Ina Forrest, Jon Thurston, Collinda Joseph and alternate Gilbert Dash have already wrapped up a spot in the semifinals set for Friday.  

They’ll look to finish preliminary play strong with two games – 1:35 p.m. local time / 8:35 a.m. ET against South Korea and 6:35 p.m. local time / 1:35 p.m. ET versus the U.S.
