[MEDAL ALERT] Canada wins bronze in Para cross country mixed relay

BEIJING – Canada won the bronze medal in the 4x2.5km Para nordic cross country mixed relay on Sunday at the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games.

The Canadian quartet was comprised of sit skier Collin Cameron of Bracebridge, Ont., and standing skiers Emily Young of North Vancouver, Mark Arendz of Hartsville, PEI, and Natalie Wilkie of Salmon Arm, B.C. It is the fourth medal of the Games for Wilkie and Arendz, a third for Cameron and a first for Young.

The U.S. won the gold medal in 25 minutes and 59.3 seconds, China followed in 26:25.3 and the Canadians finished in 27:00.6.

Canada won silver in the event in 2018.
