March 16 at Vancouver 2010: Canada on the podium for third straight day

Para ice hockey win puts Canada first in its pool

Viviane Forest of Montreal stood on the podium for the second time at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games on March 16 with a bronze in the visually impaired giant slalom race with her guide Lindsay Debou.

Meanwhile in Para ice hockey, Greg Westlake scored twice to lead Canada to a 5-0 victory over Norway and first place in its pool. No one would have predicted this would ultimately be the defending champions’ last win of the tournament.

In wheelchair curling, the news was also good, as Canada improved to 5-1 in round robin play with a 15-1 win over Switzerland.
