As a proud and committed partner of the Canadian Paralympic Committee, Groupe MACH is honouring Canada’s Paralympians in bold, meaningful ways, including celebrating the achievements of athletes from the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and shining a spotlight on the next wave of talent aiming for the next year’s Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympics.
To bring these stories closer to Canadians, Groupe MACH has unveiled a stunning series of “Greatness Moves Us” murals across its shopping centres throughout Quebec. These vibrant campaign visuals feature four exceptional athletes: five-time Paralympic gold medallist Aurélie Rivard (Para swimming), Beijing 2022 Para snowboard gold medallist Tyler Turner (Para snowboard), along with two-time Paralympians Blaise Mutware (Wheelchair basketball) and Frédérique Turgeon (Para alpine skiing).
More than just eye-catching visuals, these murals serve as powerful tributes to the relentless drive, resilience, and excellence of Canadian Paralympians. For the athletes, having their journeys shared with Canadians in such a public and celebratory way is incredibly meaningful, and a powerful reminder of the hard work and dedication it takes to represent the nation on the global stage.
“To be featured like this in my home province and to have more people learn about the amazing athletes on the Canadian Paralympic Team means a lot,” Paris 2024 gold medallist Aurélie Rivard shared. “Thanks to Groupe MACH and the Canadian Paralympic Committee for shining a light on our stories. It’s so inspiring to see how much support there is behind us.”
By showcasing these murals in high-traffic community spaces, Groupe MACH is helping raise visibility for the Paralympic Movement, inspiring the next generation, and reminding Canadians that greatness is all around them, sometimes just around the corner.
“Thanks to Groupe MACH, more Canadians are seeing and celebrating our nation’s incredible Paralympians,” said François Robert, Chief Commercial Officer, Canadian Paralympic Committee. “These murals are a powerful and visible reminder of the incredible athletes who have proudly represented our nation at the Paralympic Games, most recently those who competed at the Paris 2024 Games, and those targeting to compete again at next year’s Milano Cortina 2026 Games.”
Groupe MACH’s support extends well beyond these murals. As a long-standing champion of the Paralympic Movement, the organization has played a crucial role in empowering Para athletes on their journeys, through continued investment in the Milano Cortina 2026 Games, support for community sport programs and fundraising initiatives like the ParaTough Cup, and a shared commitment to building a more inclusive sport community across Canada.
“At Groupe MACH, we believe in the power of sport to unite and inspire,” said Alexandra Bélanger, Groupe MACH – Marketing Director Shopping Centres. “We are proud to support the Canadian Paralympic Committe and Canada’s elite Para athletes, and to use our properties across Quebec as platforms to honour their journeys, celebrate their achievements, and help more Canadians connect with the incredible stories behind the Canadian Paralympic Team. These murals are more than just art… they’re a powerful way to raise awareness and deepen national pride in our Paralympians.”
Through the support of partners like Groupe MACH, the Canadian Paralympic Committee continues to ignite a brighter, more inclusive future for Para sport in Canada.
