Final is on Wednesday

NEW DELHI (Athletics Canada) Paralympic Games medallist Zach Gingras of Markham, Ont., is off to Wednesday’s T38 400 metres final, after finishing fourth in his heat this morning, in a time of 51.11 seconds at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships.

“It was a little nervous, having to wait until the second heat ran. But I knew I was in the fast heat and so I was confident to get through the finals. I ran a good time, exerted a bit more than I wanted to, given how fast we went, but I’m feeling good for the finals tomorrow,” Gingras said.

That swift time represents a season’s best for the Worlds and Paralympic medallist. Stream the final live on CBCSports.ca and CBC Gem around 9:30 a.m. ET tomorrow.
