In celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Canadian Paralympic Committee is launching the first video in a new series highlighting stories in support of improving diversity, equity, and inclusion.

A focus on DEI is of utmost importance to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive sport environment for people with a disability. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion presented by Pfizer Canada video series will feature Paralympians – athlete leaders in their communities – sharing their own thoughts and experiences on these topics through their lens of being an athlete and/or coach in Para sport.

Legendary Paralympian Senator Chantal Petitclerc is the sport leader featured in the first video and speaks on many topics, including how access to Para sport at all levels can make a huge difference in people’s lives, what it means to become an ally, and how Canada still needs to improve in supporting people with disabilities.

More videos in the series will continue to be released throughout the coming months and will be made available HERE
