The Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) proudly congratulates Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and Canadian Tire Corporation on 20 incredible years of making sport and play more accessible for children and youth across Canada. Since its inception in 2005, Jumpstart has empowered more than four million kids to get in the game, breaking down barriers, building confidence, and creating more inclusive communities from coast to coast to coast.

As a long-standing champion of access and equity, Jumpstart has been instrumental in helping Canadian youth of all abilities discover the power of movement, teamwork, and personal growth through sport. Through community grants, adaptive equipment funding, and inclusive programming, the Jumpstart charities initiative has been especially impactful in creating opportunities for children and youth with disabilities to participate and thrive.

“Congratulations to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and Canadian Tire Corporation on 20 years of extraordinary impact,” said Karen O’Neill, CEOCanadian Paralympic Committee. “Jumpstart has helped transform the sport landscape in Canada by removing barriers and opening the door to participation for millions of young people. The Canadian Paralympic Committee is proud to stand alongside a partner so deeply committed to inclusion, equity, and community.”

CPC has been honoured to partner with Jumpstart in shared efforts to remove barriers to sport participation. From helping to build inclusive community sport systems to supporting the development of young Para athletes, Jumpstart’s support continues to open doors to lifelong opportunities through sport.

“Jumpstart has been a vital partner in helping build a more inclusive sport landscape for children and youth with disabilities,” said François Robert, Chief Commercial Officer, Canadian Paralympic Committee. “Their vision, generosity, and leadership have helped change the game for thousands of young Canadians. We are grateful for their continued commitment to equity in sport. Here’s to many more decades of impact.”

To everyone at Jumpstart and Canadian Tire Corporation, thank you for your unwavering commitment to making sport accessible for all. Here’s to the next chapter of changing lives, one kid, one community, and one game at a time.

Happy 20th anniversary, Jumpstart Charities!
