Canada fell to 0-2 in preliminary play at the GIO 2018 IWRF Wheelchair Rugby World Championships early Monday, falling 45-43 to Poland.

It was another close game for the Canadians in Sydney, Australia after an opening loss to France a day earlier. With its No. 17 world ranking, the Polish win would be considered an upset. Poland did not qualify for the Paralympic Games two years ago, while Canada was fourth.

Canada will now look to rebound in its remaining matches. The squad still has three games to play in the group stage of competition. Next up will be Great Britain at 9 p.m. ET on Monday. Canadians can watch live on CBCSports.ca and on the Canadian Paralympic Committee’s Facebook page
