The Paralympic Foundation of Canada (PFC) is an integral funding partner of the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC). While the CPC oversees national Paralympic sport programming and sends teams to the Paralympic Games, the PFC raises vital funds to support the development and advancement of Para sport in Canada, ensuring athletes have access to the resources they need to succeed.
Yes. The Paralympic Foundation of Canada is a registered Canadian charity (Charitable Registration Number: 81399 6142 RR0001). All donations are eligible for a tax receipt in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.
100% of donations to the Paralympic Foundation of Canada support the development of Para sport in Canada. Your gift helps athletes at all levels by funding:
- Coaching and training opportunities and classification support
- Para sport Development Fund supporting Community clubs
- NextGen programs in conjunction with Canadian National Sport Organizations
- High-performance athlete support through the Paralympic Performance Recognition Program

Expendable gifts are used in full within a short timeframe to meet immediate needs.
Endowed gifts are invested to generate income year after year, creating a permanent source of funding. Each year, a portion of the investment is distributed to support Para sport, as agreed upon with the donor.

Unless you request anonymity, your name may appear in our annual donor report or other recognition materials. Donors who establish named funds or major gifts may also receive updates, reports, and opportunities to connect with athletes or Foundation leadership.
Yes. Tribute gifts are a meaningful way to celebrate someone special. When you donate online, you’ll have the option to dedicate your gift and send an e-card to the recipient or their family.

The Circle of Champions is a donor recognition program that celebrates individuals who give $5,000 or more annually to support Para sport in Canada. Members receive exclusive updates, invitations to special events, and recognition opportunities.

IGNITE is the largest fundraising campaign for Para sport in Canadian history. With a goal of raising $35 million, IGNITE is about building a stronger, more inclusive sport systemm, so that every Canadian with a disability can access and thrive in sport.

Yes. The Foundation works closely with national sport organizations and community partners to remove barriers to entry at the community level, including equipment grants, athlete outreach, and introductory programs.
