Sierra Smith is the guide for Para alpine skier Kalle Eriksson in the men’s visually impaired category. The pair joined forces in 2023 and have been podium regulars on the international circuit ever since.

At their first World Para Alpine Skiing Championships in February 2025, Eriksson and Smith earned silver medals in the slalom and giant slalom.  In the 2025-26 World Cup season they collected three silver and two bronze.

In 2024-25, they ranked third overall in the Crystal Globe standings, all events combined and were third in the overall GS in 2023-24 which included their first World Cup win that January in the slalom. In their rookie season, they took gold at the 2023 Canada Games.

Smith was a top-level skier racing with Canada’s NextGen team. However a leg injury in 2017 halted her career and set her on a new path.

She has not only revitalized her career through Para sport but also contributed to Canada’s growing legacy in visually impaired alpine skiing.
