Sabrina Duchesne, born on April 17, 2001, in Quebec City, is a distinguished Canadian Para swimmer who will compete in her third Paralympics at the Paris 2024 Games. Duchesne, who resides in Saint-Augustin, Québec, has spastic diparesis affecting her lower limbs, which classifies her in the S7 category for Para swimming.

Duchesne secured her spot for Paris 2024 by surpassing the A standard in the women’s S7 400m freestyle at the Canadian Paralympic team trials. At the 2023 Para Swimming World Championships in Manchester, she won her first major international individual medal, a bronze in the 400m freestyle, and placed fifth in the 100m freestyle. Her previous notable performances include a bronze medal in the 4×100m freestyle relay at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, where she also finished fifth in the 400m freestyle and sixth in the 100m freestyle.

Duchesne’s swimming career began with a strong showing at the 2015 Parapan American Games and the IPC World Championships, where she was the youngest member of the Canadian national team at age 14. She has consistently been a key member of the Canadian Para swimming team, with notable performances at international competitions, including the Madeira 2022 World Para Swimming Championships and the London 2019 World Para Swimming Championships.
