Noah Vucsics was a breakout performer for Canada at the 2023 Para Athletics World Championships winning the silver medal in the men’s T20 long jump. In addition to the medal he earned a quota spot for Canada for the 2024 Paralympics.

His 7.35 metre leap at the worlds was also a Canadian record and he missed the gold by only five centimetres.

A few weeks later at the Parapan American Games in Santiago he won a bronze in the long jump.

Vucsics was first introduced to track and field at age 10 but was injured and required knee surgery. It was put on the backburner for a couple of years before a high school teacher noticed his athletic skills and introduced him to long jump.
