Michaela Gosselin concluded the 2025-26 World Cup ranking third for the season in the women’s overall and women’s standing downhill.
She cracked the top-five 13 times during the season, five top-five in the downhill, including a bronze in December 2025 at the Santa Caterina, Italy stop.
The results are great news for Gosselin coming off a challenging stretch marked by significant injuries, including a torn knee in 2022 and ongoing hip issues. Last season was her first full season back from the knee injury.
Also the 2025-26 off season was her first complete injury free summer in four years which allowed her to focus on building strength rather than rehabilitation.
Gosselin was one of the big revelations for Canada in Para alpine skiing during the 2021-22 Paralympic Games season.
At the World Para Snow Sports Championships in January 2022, she won the bronze medal in the women’s standing slalom. She was also fifth in the super combined and sixth in the downhill and giant slalom.
A few weeks later at the Beijing Games she was fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh in her four races.
