Levi Nadlersmith first volunteered to guide Jesse Bachinsky at an early local race when Jesse was 16; at the time, Nadlersmith was an active competitive cross-country ski racer training with a national development program in the Thunder Bay area.
The duo made their Paralympic debut at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games where finished 14th in the 20 km race and 10th in the 10 km race.
Their partnership continued over several years and eventually became integrated into Canada’s national Para nordic campaign.
“He’s played a really crucial part in my skiing, and I don’t think I would be doing what I’m doing without him,” Bachinsky said about his guide.
As an individual competitor, Nadlersmith was a member of Team Canada at the Youth Olympic Winter Games in 2016, his first international competition. Just a few weeks earlier he was a two-time national junior cross country skiing champion. Ever since, he has competed at FIS events around the world
