Laura Court fell into the sport when her father, a former rower, suggested she pick up rowing when she entered Grade 9 at Ridley College in St. Catharines. She was considered too small to be a rower so the coaches suggested coxswain and she loved it immediately.

Court helped Canada’s women’s eight crew to consecutive gold medals at the World Rowing Under-23 Championships.

Gold medal in eighths at the 2017 and 2018 U23 world championships… 

PERSONAL

In 2018 named Ontario University Association’s Female Athlete of the Year, the first coxswain to win the award… She was the coxswain for Brock’s lightweight eight and coxed four… BA Honours Psychology Brock University 2019…
