Jennifer McCreesh was a member of Canada’s silver medal winning team at the 2022 World Championships and helped her teammates qualify for the 2024 Paralympic Games at the 2022 World Cup in Egypt.

Off the court, she works as a constable with the RCMP in her hometown of Smithers, BC.

In 2009, during an arrest, McCreesh sustained an ankle injury, originally misdiagnosed as a sprain. She underwent major reconstructive surgery in 2010. Over the next decade after several medical complications she elected to amputate her lower leg and ankle. In all, McCreesh went through 11 surgeries between 2009 and 2019.

In early 2021, McCreesh as invited to attend some national team sitting volleyball team practices in Vancouver and eventually made the team in January 2022.

She is also a certified personal trainer and nutritionist.
