Former national team cyclist Audrey Lemieux is following in the path of her idol, Lyne Bessette who was also a Para cycling pilot to an athlete with a visual impairment.

At the 2015 World Championships, Lemieux joined forces with Robbi Weldon, who was the London 2012 Paralympic Games road race gold medallist with Bessette.

Together Lemieux and Weldon won the silver medal in the mixed time trial at the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games and added a bronze at a World Cup in South Africa.

In 2016 they were fifth and seventh at the Paralympic Games. In 2017, Lemieux and Weldon where injured in a crash at a World Cup and were forced to miss the worlds that year.

Lemieux was a competitive road racer for 12 years and joined the Para cycling program in 2014.
